Rajya Sabha adjourned for the day following repeated disruptions. Members of the opposition protested the suspension of 25 members in the lower house as directed by the Speaker yesterday.

In Lok Sabha, members from Andhra Pradesh raised the issue of granting special status to their state.  Some members from Telangana also made demands for a separate High Court in their state.  The Minister of Home Affairs assured the members that the Law Minister is looking into the matter.
