The Budget Session of Parliament adjourned sine die on April 6, 2018. Both Houses witnessed discussions on the Union Budget and Motion of Thanks to the President’s Address in the first part. The second part was lost to several disruptions on issues related to a bank scam, special status for Andhra Pradesh, constitution of Cauvery Management Board.
Two Bills were introduced during the session and another was passed. The Finance Bill and two Appropriation Bills to approve the demands for grants were passed without discussion in Lok Sabha. Lok Sabha worked for 21% of the scheduled hours and Rajya Sabha for 27%.
