Budget  Session: January 29, 2018 – April 6, 2018

 

Highlights

  • The Budget Session of Parliament is to be held between January 29 and April 6, 2018.  The session will have a recess from February 10 to March 4, 2018.  During the recess, the Standing Committees will examine the Demand for Grants of various ministries.  There will be a total of 31 sittings.
     
  • The President addressed Parliament on January 29.  The Economic Survey was released on the same day.  The Union Budget will be presented on February 1, 2018.
     
  • The agenda for legislation includes 32 Bills for consideration and passing.  Nine Bills are listed for introduction, consideration and passing.  One Bill is listed for withdrawal.  We list these below:
