Monsoon Session: September 14 – September 23, 2020

The budget session of Parliament was held from September 14, 2020 to September 23, 2020.  The session was curtailed due to the public health emergency situation and several MPs getting infected with COVID-19.  Parliament adjourned sine die on September 23, 2020 having sat for a total of 10 days.

In this session, 20 legislative Bills were introduced and 25 were passed.  This excludes the two Appropriation Bills to approve expenditure out of the Consolidated Fund of India.  Lok Sabha worked for 145% and Rajya Sabha worked for 99% of their scheduled time.
