M R Madhavan
Prior to starting PRS, Madhavan was based in Singapore covering currency and interest rate markets as Principal and Senior Strategist for the Asia region for Bank of America. He started his career with ICICI Securities in Mumbai in the equity research group and later headed interest rates research. He is a Fellow (doctorate) from IIM Calcutta, MBA from IIM Calcutta and holds a B. Tech degree from IIT Madras. In 2010, Madhavan was selected as a Chevening Gurukul Scholar at the London School of Economics.
Abhijit Banare
Before joining PRS, he was a LAMP fellow to Member of Parliament Om Birla from Kota, Rajasthan. He has previously worked with cricketcountry.com as a reporter and with Scroll.in as content curator. He has completed a Bachelors in Mass Media from Ramnarain Ruia College, Mumbai.
Aniket Narawad
Before joining PRS, he has interned with Hamsafar Trust, an LGBT advocacy group and Krishi Star, an early stage agricultural start-up. Aniket holds a B.Tech degree in metallurgy and material science from IIT Bombay.
Anviti Chaturvedi
She holds a B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) from the WB National University of Juridical Sciences. During her years in law school she completed several internships at the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court, Bombay High Court and at the Supreme Court. She has also interned with Alternate Law Forum, Bangalore.
Aravind Gayam
Before joining PRS, he worked as a design engineer for Intel Corporation in California. He interned at Innovations for Poverty Action in Zambia and also worked with several researchers like Jennifer Granholm (ex-governor of Michigan) at UC Berkeley. He holds a Masters degree in Public Policy from University of California, Berkeley and in Computer Science from State University of New York, Buffalo. During his time at Berkeley, he pursued economic analysis of government programs related to agriculture, job creation and clean energy.
Chakshu Roy
Before joining PRS, Chakshu worked as a lawyer who specialised in real estate law and commercial contracts. He has earlier worked in corporate law with the Chamber of Law, New Delhi. He was selected as an INK Fellow in 2010. He holds Bachelors degrees in Commerce and Law from Delhi University.
Dipesh Suvarna
Before joining PRS, he interned at GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and the Haffkine Institute, Mumbai. Dipesh holds a Masters degree in Regulatory Governance from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and a Bachelors degree in Pharmacy from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai.
Hemlata Bisht
She has worked with BSA Logistics Company in the customer care division and Solution-Digitas as a Quality Analyst. Hema holds Bachelors degrees in Arts from Delhi University and a Diploma in Office Management from the YMCA, New Delhi.
Jhalak Kakkar
Jhalak is a Programme Manager with the outreach team and is responsible for engagment with Members of Parliament, to provide them with legislative and policy support. Before taking up this role, she was an analyst with the research team at PRS and tracked environment, mining and tribal affairs.
Prior to joining PRS, her internships include the Government Affairs and Policy Team at Amarchand Mangaldas and the corporate teams of Allen & Overy LLP and Trilegal. She holds a B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) from the WB National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata. At NUJS, she was the Editor of the Journal of Indian Law and Society. She presented a paper at the 13th International Symposium on Victimology in Japan, which was subsequently published.
Kusum Malik
She has earlier worked with the Centre for Policy Research supporting the work of different research teams. Kusum holds Bachelors degrees in Commerce from Delhi University and Diploma in Financial Management and Accountability from FMSF- Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
Mandira Kala
Mandira is Head of Research. She led PRS' engagement with MPs, to provide them legislative and policy support. Her core role involved engaging with MPs regularly to understand their research needs, briefing them on upcoming issues and designing initiatives that add value to the work of MPs. Mandira also anchored the LAMP Fellowship during its initial years.
Previously, she has worked in the research team of Azim Premji Foundation, Bangalore and Centre for Social Policy, Boston, USA. She was awarded the UNDP Asia- Pacific Human Development Academic Fellowship in 2008. Mandira was selected as an Emerging Leaders Fellow 2011-12 by the Australia India Institute at the University of Melbourne. She has a Ph.D. in Public Policy from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
Nivedita Rao
She holds an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge, an M.A. in Development Studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences(TISS) and did her undergraduate studies in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College. Prior to joining PRS, Nivedita interned with the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies(CSDS), TERI and The Financial Express. She also worked briefly with the Development Sector Advisory in KPMG India.
Prachee Mishra
Prachee has worked with the New York City - Department of Transportation and with a research team at New York University Wagner primarily on public transit systems and public spaces. She has also worked with the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy at Cambridge, US on a research study on public housing and transit in Cape Town, South Africa. Prior to that, Prachee worked in Mumbai as an architect. She holds a Masters degree in Urban Planning from New York University, US and a Bachelors degree in Architecture from NIT Bhopal.
Prianka Rao
Prior to joining PRS, she has worked with Ashoka Innovators for the Public on their Law for All and Fellow Security Programs, and with the Lawyers’ Collective on policy and strategic litigation matters. While at law school, she has interned with several human rights organizations, law firms and at the Supreme Court of India. Prianka holds a B.A. LLB (Hons.) from the National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata.
Raunaq Jain
Prior to joining PRS, he has worked with Telecom Centres of Excellence India, a Public Private Partnership initiative of Department of Telecom, Government of India. Raunaq holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from University of Delhi and an MBA from the Welingkar Institute of Management, Mumbai.
Roopal Suhag
Roopal has an undergraduate degree in Urban Planning from the Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology in Ahmedabad. She has interned at the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad and with CES (I) Pvt. Ltd. in the Urban Planning Department.
S V Prasad
He has over 25 years of work experience in Finance, Accounts, Audit, Administration and Sales & Marketing. Prasad holds Bachelors degrees in Commerce and Law from Delhi University.
Tanvi Deshpande
She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan, where she studied International Studies with a minor in Applied Statistics. Prior to joining PRS, Tanvi worked with non-profit organizations working on primary education sector in India like Pratham Education Foundation and Teach for India.
Trina Roy
She has previously worked with CRY, Kolkata as an active volunteer helping their efforts related to various child rights issues. As an intern at CRY she also helped plan their campaign to increase partnerships and expand their support base. She has completed a Bachelor in Arts, Political Science (Hons) from St Xavier’s College, Kolkata. She has also pursued a Foundation Course on Human Rights and Duties under IGNOU.
Vatsal Khullar
He holds a Bachelors degree in Business Studies, with a specialisation in Finance, from Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, Delhi University. As part of college, Vatsal has worked with organisations like Enactus to promote social entrepreneurship.
Vibhor Relhan
Prior to joining PRS, he completed a post-graduate diploma in Liberal Arts and Leadership as a Young India Fellow (YIF) from Ashoka University in 2014-15. Before YIF, he was a member in the Citizens for Accountable Governance (CAG) team and has worked with Deloitte as a Risk Consultant. He has interned at the Office of Jayant Sinha (MoS, Finance), Indus Action and Centre for Civil Society (CCS) in the past. He completed his Bachelors in Technology (Electronics and Communication) from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT), Delhi University.
