Narayanan Vaghul
Narayanan Vaghul was the Chairman of the Board of ICICI Bank; he has also served on the Boards of Directors of both the Central Bank of India and the Bank of India. He has been the Chairman and member of several committees and task forces created by the Government and the Reserve Bank of India. He has worked on several assignments for the Asian Development Bank, the IFC and the World Bank and briefly served as Chairman of the Government's Foreign Investment Advisory Board. He has received the Padma Bhushan award from the President of India in 2009 for distinguished service to his country in his field. He earned his Bachelor’s in Commerce with honors from Loyola College, University of Madras.
Alok Kshirsagar
Alok is a senior partner and the co-leader of McKinsey Asia Center. Alok also leads McKinsey's Risk Management practice in Asia. In addition to client service, Alok leads McKinsey's pro-bono support to government and regulators on economic development and policy reform in India. The World Economic Forum named him a “Young Global Leader” in recognition of his commitment to international business and public policy. He was an Inlaks Scholar at Oxford University and has a Masters in Politics and Economics. He earned his bachelors in economics from Mumbai University.
Anirudha Dutta
Anirudha has spent the last two decades in the financial services industry in leading institutions like ICICI, ING Barings, DSP Merrill Lynch, India Infoline and CLSA. Till December 2012, he was the Head of Research at CLSA India Limited, which is regarded the best Indian equity research team. He has been rated as the top equity analyst by Trade Journals, such as the Institutional Investor Magazine for the Aviation sector in 2011. He has a keen interest in politics and policy matters, and blogs regularly for Forbes India. Anirudha holds a B.Tech degree from IIT Kharagpur, and an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
C V Madhukar
Madhukar co-founded PRS, and is currently the director for governance related investments at Omidyar Network’s India office. He has worked with ICICI, Pratham, Azim Premji Foundation and the World Bank in Washington DC. Madhukar holds an MPA (Mason fellow) from Harvard Kennedy School of Government, an MBA from University of Houston, and a B.Tech from Bangalore University. Madhukar is an Echoing Green, Ashoka and Eisenhower Fellow. He was elected a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2008.
Pratap Bhanu Mehta
Pratap Bhanu Mehta currently heads the Centre for Policy Research in New Delhi. He is also a participant in the Global Faculty Program of NYU Law School. He was previously Visiting Professor of Government at Harvard University and Associate Professor of Government and of Social Studies at Harvard. He was also Professor of Philosophy and of Law and Governance at Jawaharlal Nehru University. His areas of research include political theory, constitutional law, society and politics in India, and governance and political economy. He has a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University and a Ph.D in Politics from Princeton University.
Shekhar Shah
Shekhar Shah is the Director-General of NCAER. Before that he was the World Bank’s Regional Economic Adviser for South Asia based in New Delhi and Colombo. He has been a part of the Bank’s development research complex in Washington DC and a principal author of the 2004World Development Report, the Bank’s annual flagship research publication, on Making Services Work for Poor People. He has also worked as the Ford Foundation’s Program Officer for International Economics for South Asia. Shekhar received his Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics from Columbia University and his B.A. in Economics from Delhi University.
Tarun Khanna
Tarun Khanna is Director of Harvard University’s inter-disciplinary South Asia Institute, and the Jorge Paulo Lemann Professor at the Harvard Business School. An expert on emerging markets, he writes extensively in economics strategy and management journals, is an occasional newspaper columnist, and was recently elected a Fellow of the Academy of International Business and a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. Khanna is the author of Billions of Entrepreneurs: How China and India are Reshaping their Futures, and Yours (Harvard Business Press, 2008), and coauthor of Winning in Emerging Markets: A Roadmap for Strategy and Execution (Harvard Business Press, 2010), both translated into multiple languages. He serves as a board member of several publicly traded and venture-backed companies worldwide, as well as of non-profits in the U.S. and India.
Yogesh Upadhyaya
Yogesh Upadhyaya is an independent consultant, who has extensive experience in the software and financial services sectors. Yogesh was founder-director of Fineng Solutions, which specialized in creating software products for the financial services industry, including mutual funds and banks. Yogesh had earlier worked in the advisory and ratings divisions of Crisil. He holds a B.Tech from IIT Bombay and an MBA from IIM Calcutta. Yogesh was selected as a Chevening Gurukul Scholar at the London School of Economics.
