Plan vs. Performance- Winter Session 2010: November 09 to December 13

The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha adjourned sine die on December 13. During the entire session, only one full day of work was conducted in Lok Sabha (November 9), and not one such day in Rajya Sabha. The functioning of Parliament was stalled on all other days over the demand for a JPC probe into the 2G spectrum scam. The Supplementary Demands for Grants (Appropriation Bills) were passed in both houses without discussion. Nine legislative Bills were introduced during the session. Two pending Bills were passed by Lok Sabha and none by Rajya Sabha. Lok Sabha worked for 5.3% of the scheduled hours and Rajya Sabha for 2.1%.
