Plan vs. Performance- Budget Session 2011: February 21 to March 25

The Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha adjourned sine die on March 25. The session was curtailed in view of the assembly elections in five states. Both houses discussed the Railway and General Budgets. Rajya Sabha was scheduled to discuss the working of four ministries however only one ministry was discussed. Only 12% of the budget session time was spent on legislation in Lok Sabha and 6% in Rajya Sabha.

This note lists the legislative business planned by Parliament and compares it with the actual performance during the Budget Session.
