In the Winter Session,  Lok Sabha worked for 59% of the scheduled hours and Rajya Sabha for 62%. 28 legislative Bills were introduced and 15 Bills were passed other than two Appropriation Bills during the session. Two Bills were withdrawn and replaced by new Bills and one Bill was negatived.  This note lists the legislative business planned by Parliament and compares it with the actual performance during the Winter Session.

Parliament meets for the Winter Session between November 22 and December 21, 2011. There will be a total of 21 sittings. The agenda for government Bills includes 31 pending Bills for consideration and passing. One new Bill is listed for introduction, consideration and passing to replace an ordinance. The government plans to introduce 23 new Bills and withdraw 2 Bills. We list these below.
