The Criminal Law (Amendment) Bill, 2012 introduced in Lok Sabha on the 4th December, 2012 and pending therein, has been referred to the Department Related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs, headed by Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, M.P. Rajya Sabha for examination and report. The bill seeks to amend the Indian Penal Code, 1860, the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 and the Indian Evidence Act, 1872.
