Reduced quota for women is new Cong move to end impasse

The Congress has initiated an exercise to try and end the stalemate on the Women’s Reservation Bill by getting both sides to agree to a quota ranging between 20 and 25 per cent, down from the proposed 33 per cent.

Govt plans to introduce Motors Vehicles Amendment Bill

The Motors Vehicles Amendment Bill calls for payment of an interim compensation of Rs 1,00,000 in case of death or permanent disablement and Rs 50,000 in case of permanent partial disablement.

Govt to regulate courier sector, Bill likely in monsoon session
